The Apprentice - Episode 3

Episode 3             |The Apprentice| (Back to main page)

Would Sam finally get the ax? Well the objective in this episode was the art of negotiation and the men's team decided to elect Sam as captain in an effort to get rid of him should he not succeed. The women were cruising on success but a little worried about what the men's team given some of their backgrounds. Both teams were given several items / services that they had to negotiate lower prices for. I have to hand it to the women although there methods of whining and dancing around seemed petty it worked! This combined with some street smarts helped them get off to a good start. . It was clear that the claws were coming out as the women tried to settle their differences early on but seemed to get no where. I have a feeling these differences will manifest into much larger problems down the line. Despite their differences they came together and fought hard for a win. The men's team on the other hand was a total failure due to their leader Sam who cared more about talking things out than really taking action and getting the job done. It was funny and sad to watch Sam drive his team into destruction. Even Donald Trump came by to wish Sam well and warn him of the imminent doom in the board room should he fail. Alas the men's team did fail, but not to the fault of the team members rather their leader Sam who made several crucial judgment errors. If looks could kill, seemed to be the best phrase to describe Sam's long hurtful, semi postal glare as Mr. Trump told him he was fired. Good thing there were not any weapons nearby. Alas the women won once again and were treated to dinner at 21, a very happening place. Now the men are down 3 guys, what will happen if they continue to lose? Will the teams be combined or will the men have to suck it up and get some wins in or be destroyed? To be continued…
