The Apprentice - Episode 1

Episode 1             |The Apprentice| (Back to main page)

Everyone was excited to meet "The Donald" who was about to show the contestants what's it's like in the "Jungle." Their first objective was selling lemonade, guys vs gals. Trump sought out to get back to business basics. The guys were off to a good start having picked out a nearby location and having commandeered some carts from local vendors to sell their lemonade. The women had a rough start and were poorly coordinated with their cell phones and lack of knowledge of the city. They had trouble agreeing on where to go and how to split up, their plight seemed doomed early on. The guys on the other hand chose a bad spot and decided to relocate. Sam, the maverick, tried to get a guy to buy a cup for 1000 but failed. Business picked up in their new location but would it be enough? The women on the other hand had a horrible start but finally ended up in a good spot and began to make tons of sales. In the end the women quadrupled their initial starting capital while the men only doubled theirs. Sam put on a great show in the board room and pulled all the stops to keep himself out of the fire. His crawling evolution display earned him the title of "homo erectus" by David which was funny to watch. David on the other hand was quickly pounced on and found himself taking the elevator down to the street. The women enjoyed a night at Trump's pad which was quite amazing! As a team the women would go on to be very successful.
